Hey Gang—
Looking forward to the 2012 Fly Fishing Show in Somerset, New Jersey this January 27, 28, & 29. I’ll be debuting some new designs this year, bringing a selection of vintage-inspired bamboo fly rods and classic cane. Come out and cast ‘em!
The Somerset show is one of the largest fly fishing shows in the country with literally hundreds of vendors of just about anything you could want could want—from rods to waders, dry flies to guides—you’ll find. I’ll be with Jonas in The Feathered Hook booth.
P.S. Please enjoy these additions to the photo gallery—shots of recent work and rods in progress and fish I caught on cane in Canada and Montana this past year.
Rods pricing through the 2012 Fly Fishing Show are as follows:
Standard Hex (2/2) $1250
Standard Quad (2/2) $1350
Three-Piece Hex (3/2) $1350
Rods are identified by the first 4 numbers. The 6010 is a 6’-0” rod with a #10 ferrule and so on. There is no relationship to the Dickerson tapers.
Current tapers in the 2/2 configuration include:
6010 3 weight
6611 4 weight
7011 3 weight
7012 4 weight
7612 4 weight
7613 5 weight
7912 4 weight
7913 5 weight
8013 5 weight
All rods are flamed to a medium brown and fitted with nickel-silver reel seat hardware and ferrules. I use an agate stripping guide and black snake guides and tip tops. Guides are wrapped with 2/0 silk and tipped with 4/0 silk.
Blued hardware is no extra charge. And all rods come in a brass capped aluminum tube with a rod sack and hang tag.
Rods are guaranteed against defects in workmanship for life and carry an unconditional guarantee for one year from the purchase date. After that, repairs are quoted before they are made. If you slam it in a car door I can fix it but you will be responsible for all costs.
